Ordering eyewear online should feel considered and confident. At Burghley & Co, we combine professional optical guidance with clear reassurance for eligible UK and USA online orders — so you can order with certainty.

What’s Covered

For added reassurance, we offer a refund on one eligible complete pair of glasses per order if they are not right for you.

This applies to eligible UK and USA online orders for frames supplied with prescription lenses, subject to the conditions below.

  • Return request must be made within 14 days of receipt
  • Items must be returned in original, unworn condition
  • All packaging, including case and cloth, must be included
  • No signs of wear, fitting, damage, or adjustment

Fair Use

This policy is designed to support confident ordering with professional guidance.

  • One eligible complete pair per order is covered
  • Additional pairs are not eligible for a lens refund
  • One full confidence policy refund per customer within a 6 month period

Frame-Only Orders

Frame-only purchases are covered by our standard returns policy.

  • Frames may be returned within 14 days of receipt
  • Items must be in original, unworn condition
  • No signs of wear, fitting, or adjustment

Prescription & Lens Guidance

All lenses are prepared specifically to your prescription and chosen frame.

If you are unsure about frame suitability, prescription compatibility, or lens options, we recommend contacting us before ordering. Our team is here to guide you.

Returns Process

  • Contact us at hello@burghleyandco.uk within 14 days of receipt
  • We will guide you through the return process
  • Items must be securely packaged to avoid damage in transit

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty, damaged, or supplied incorrectly. USA customers are responsible for return shipping to the United Kingdom unless otherwise agreed.

Refunds

  • Approved returns receive a refund on the eligible pair
  • Refunds are processed within 5–7 working days of inspection
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Any delivery, duty, tax, or customs treatment will be handled in line with the applicable checkout, courier, or tax rules

Exclusions

  • Reglazing (using your own frame)
  • Damaged, worn, or adjusted items
  • Specialist, bespoke, or custom lens orders where stated
