Hi, I’m Scott.
I’ve spent more than 20 years working in optics, across hospital, independent and national optical settings, as well as with frame and lens manufacturers.
I started Burghley & Co because I felt buying glasses online could be much better. There is plenty of choice online, but choosing the right frame, lens design and thickness still benefits from proper optical knowledge.
So Burghley combines the convenience and pricing of online eyewear with something much more personal: access to a dispensing optician who can help before, during and after your order.

We use HOYA prescription lenses and explain the options in straightforward language. Anti-reflection is included as standard on our prescription lens packages.

One lens does not suit every prescription or wearer. We offer different lens indices and varifocal designs so the final pair can be matched more appropriately to you and your frame.
Every prescription is reviewed
Before glazing, your prescription order is reviewed. If something looks unsuitable, incomplete or needs clarification, we contact you before your lenses are made.
